Continuing Budapest
So ,let’s continue about Budapest .
As discussed earlier , Budapest is one of the landmark destinations in Europe. Hungry’s enchanting capital is situated on the banks of Danube River , with traditional hillside Buda on one side & modern Pest on the other .
It is surrounded by magnificent nouveau buildings, ancient castles& glittering palaces .we did walk on the very broad streets along the banks of Danube .
Danube is Europe’s longest River after the Volga . Volga is wholly located in Russia but Danube flows through ten counties & four Central European Capitals .
We took a guided walking tour of Budapest Jewish heritage quarters and learnt about the turbulent history of Jews in Eastern Europe . It is in 7th district of Budapest where Jewish community flourished for the last 200 years.
The oldest part of Budapest is the Castle quart of Castle Hill in Buda , a historic area with medieval walls , the Royal Palace,Matthis Curch , Fisherman’s Bastian & ancient streets . It was a great place to do some shopping for souvenirs . My friend & me bought few artists type of things from there . Some areas were very Steep , little challenging for walking but when there is no option then we get some energy to walk . Our buses were waiting for us & brought us to our very beautiful Viking ship —— named LIF —-
Our program director Leonard gave commentary on the glittering night beauty of Mighty Danube . After an after dinner drink in the lounge of the ship , we started sailing for the next destination.
